Mihăiţă will never come back to the Oncopediatrics Ward, but not because he was cured... Before saying goodbye, he handed me a picture – a little boy of about 4 years of age, with lively eyes and a mature, serious look that says a lot… he asked me: „Please give this picture to Raluca, you know, the young lady that visited me so often, played with me, talked to me... and tell her never to forget me.” Unfortunately, not all stories have a happy ending. Mihăiţă is one of the 20% of cases diagnosed with cancer for which there is no solution because of the low financial resources of the Romanian Health system.

How can you help us accomplish our mission?

You can donate each month an amount of money to an NGO. You decide what the amount of money is. The money will be taken out of your salary each month, with your agreement.You can help the Romanian Cancer Society, that is actively involved on a national scale in:

• supplying informative materials on the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer

 
• prevention and early detection of breast and cervical cancer

 
• psychological counseling of patients, their families and medical staff

 
• lymphedema treatment

 
• social assistance

 
• professional, practical specialization of students

 
• lobby and advocacy for cancer patients rights.

 

What you have to do?

Fill in the Salary donations form with your identification information and have the manager approve it. Then, the accountability department will make the neccessary arrangements.

The same system is used if you want the alimony or the bank payments to be taken out of your salary without you worrying about it each month.

2% Hope

Now you can decide! You can direct 2% of the income tax to the Romanian Cancer Society. According to the 2% stipulation of the Fiscal Code, you can decide how 2% of your income tax is spent. This is not a donation, not a sponsorship. You take money from the government and offer 2% hope to cancer patients.

What you have to do

Fill in the 230 Form:Request on the destination of the sum corresponding to 2% of the income tax, with your identification information and our data.

Don’t worry if you don’t know what the amout of money is. It wil be calculated by the Fiscal body. Hand in the 230 Form at the Fiscal Department in your city or send it by post until the 15th of May of each year.
